Perfect Blue (Anime)
A chilling and twisted tale, "Perfect Blue" takes us on a psychological thrill ride through the eyes of singing sensation and pop star icon Mimi Kirigoe. Heading down a new road in life with her agent behind the wheel, she leaves singing to pursue an acting career.
Far from what she wants in life, she soon becomes confused and lost in this new world. In addition, when the threats of stalkers and death, along with the terrifying website that shockingly peers into her private life, become part of her new lifestyle, she begins to slip into another world where reality does not necessarily exist.
A true thinker of a film, the levels of complexity in the situations and story certainly add to the content as factors drawing a more mature audience.
Parental Note: Violence, Adult Situations, Nudity
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras and glitches in the menu system.
