The Perfect Storm
It's man against nature in this high stakes high seas adventure as five fishermen looking for the big catch after a hard-hitting slump, head for distant waters. Unfortunately, nature is not on their side and dealing a hard-hitting hand of its own, these men soon find themselves face to face with "The Perfect Storm."
Incredible special effects will have you wiping the ocean spray off your own foreheads, and likely feeling a bit sea sick if you sit too close. Highly dependant upon the wonderful effects, camera work and editing, it is apparent the storm is not the only thing a great collection of actors are struggling with as the writing wrecks some havoc of its own, especially upon the quick wrap up ending that sharply breaks the pace of the movie with an awkward twist.
However, fear not, the talents of George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, John C. Reilly, William Fichtner and Chris McDonald all come together to make it not only believable (yes this is based on a true story), but one water ride you are sure to love and not soon to forget.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the many extras.
