Phantom of the Opera

A masterpiece of musical monster mayhem, "Phantom of the Opera" starring Claude Rains, also well known for his less visually recognizable role as the invisible man, tells the tale of terror as the Paris Opera House is transformed into a house of horrors.

Unable to openly express his love for a young and beautiful opera singer Christine, an orchestra violinist must hide more than his love when he is horribly disfigured. Now unable to work and secretly support Christine's training, he takes the more direct approach and taking the role of a fabled opera ghost, he begins wrecking havoc in the efforts of giving Christine all the fame that he feels she deserves.

A classic monster movie of the timeless tale, a rich mix of marvelous music, comedy, acting, camera work, and good old horror puts this among the greats of the ghouls.

Parental Note: Violence, Frightening Scenes
