Planet of the Apes
The first of the "Planet of the Apes" film series, Charlton Heston stars as Taylor, a space and time traveler who finds himself crash landing on Earth thousands of years into the future.
With no signs of life around them, he and two surviving members of his crew head off into the wilderness in the hopes of finding some. What they find though is beyond their wildest imagination, a world where man and ape have swapped roles. Now captured and treated as a beast, Taylor surprises the ape community with his ability to read and write, but soon learns this could be as dangerous to him as it is useful.
An absolutely fabulous film, this classic with its wonderful story, acting and action is one you will not want to miss adding to your DVD collection.
Parental Note: Minor Language, Minor Violence, Brief Nudity
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but few are the extras.
