The Parent Trap
"The Parent Trap," starring Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson, and Lindsay Lohan, is a delightful movie for all ages and a fabulous ‘90s remake of the 1961 Disney Classic. Two girls meet by chance at camp and discover they are identical twins separated shortly after birth. Each lives with a divorced parent. They decide to switch roles and meet their other long-lost parent. Separated by thousands of miles, the two scheme to bring their parents back together again.
Brilliantly entertaining performances by each and every actor/actress, a fantastic soundtrack and writing to match make this an instant classic. Of note to fans of the original is the appearance of actress Joanna Barnes, who played Vicki, the father's fiancé in the 1961 classic. Here she plays the mother of Meredith, the fiancé of the father in the 1998 to be classic.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but the extras are almost nil.
