Pushing Tin
Air traffic controller Nick Falzone (John Cusack) knows what it's like to be under pressure.
Working one of life's most stressful occupations, he takes control like no other with an
unhuman confidence, making him one of the best, his co-workers calling him The Zone.
All however is not well in the friendly skies, as another hot shot controller Russell
(Billy Bob Thornton) arrives on the scene possibly just as good ... maybe better, and
definitely more out of control. With Nick's great composure highly dependant on him being the
best, he quickly develops an immense jealousy for Russell, losing his cool and composure with
disastrous results.
The movie starts with a bang, shaping up to be a fantastic first class ride through the high
stress lives of air traffic controllers. Unfortunately, just as quickly it becomes a ailing
drama about a man losing his cool and the life he knew, with little remaining of the topnotch
story as it loses altitude with a near crash and burn.
Parental Note:Language, Adult Situation, Brief Nudity
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen version of the
movie. The mastering is terrific, but the extras are few.
