Return to Me

So very often in movies about normal people living somewhat normal lives, we are left with a humdrum middle-of-the-road movie that comes across as good, but not great. However, "Return to Me" starring David Duchovny and Minnie Driver treats us to a break from the norm with outstanding performances from a star studded cast and a brilliantly written story that wonderfully touching, will make you laugh, cry and be thoroughly entertained like few movies can do.

For Bob (Duchovny) and his wife Elizabeth (Joely Richardson), life had its ups and downs, but together they had true happiness. Unfortunately, as most things precious tend to be ever so delicate, a tragic accident leaves Elizabeth dead and Bob's life in pieces.

Proving something good can be found in every tragedy, Grace Briggs (Driver) is given a second chance at life as a much needed heart transplant from Bob's late wife, gets her back on her feet and off death's doorstep. And, as if her new heart still knew where home was, she finds herself falling in love with Bob, unaware of his tragic past, nor he aware of her transplant.

Truly a marvelous and touching film, this is one not to miss seeing with someone special and a box of tissues.
