The Rocketeer

Bill Campbell is Cliff Secord, an ace pilot who chances upon a highly secretive rocket backpack after it is stolen from Howard Hughes and hidden in his plane. Now intrigued by this discovery, Cliff and his mechanically inclined friend Peevy (Alan Arkin) find themselves on a high-flying star studded adventure that anyone is sure to love.

With everyone wanting to get their hands on this amazing jet- pack, Cliff in an effort to keep it in safe hands, dons the pack becoming "The Rocketeer." However, when his girlfriend Jenny (Jennifer Connelly) becomes a hostage to the treacherous Hollywood star Neville Sinclair (Timothy Dalton), Cliff must become more than The Rocketeer, but nothing short of a super hero.

A fantastic movie that rockets across the screen in a blinding flash, it leaves all in awe and sure to come back for more. A real blast, this movie is a sure winner and a wonderful addition to any collection.

** **

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is good, but with some compression noise visible. Unfortunately in addition the movie has alsmost no extras for such a great film.
