Robocop
The future criminal element of Detroit is out of control and law enforcement is in need of some serious help. With crime fighting becoming big business, OCP delivers the latest in legal law enforcement, "Robocop." Now enjoy all the action and extras with the Criterion Collection Director's Cut available from Image Entertainment.
Officer Murphy is new to the force and with a crazed cop killer on the loose he soon becomes the latest victim. All seems lost for Murphy until OCP taking his body, wipes out all his past memories and transforms him into the half human, half robot ultimate law enforcer.
When the big business of law enforcement becomes dangerously corrupt, Murphy must remember his past and bring justice where it is needed.
The movie that at first no one seemed to want to make would only become the beginning of a successful movie series and much more. A collector's piece for any great fan of action movies, Robocop at its core is a fantastic action-adventure. Set apart from many movies of its genre and time period by its excessive violence and language, much more than its sequels, it is very likely too much over the top for many viewers.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent as are the numerous extras.
