The Rock
Welcome to "The Rock", the tour is over and the action is about to begin as Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage turn up the heat.
In an attempt to bring justice for the wrongs committed by the U.S. military, Alcatraz becomes home base for a group of renegade marines armed with over a dozen deadly poisonous gas rockets it holds not only the current tour group, but also the city of San Francisco hostage.
FBI chemical expert Stanley Goodspeed (Cage), and the only man to ever escape Alcatraz, John Mason (Connery), become part of a team set to infiltrate the rock and stop these madmen. After the team is discovered, Cage and Connery are left to take care of business.
The action is explosive as Cage and Connery deliver edge-of-your- seat performances. Additional performances from the likes of Ed Harris, Michael Biehn and William Forsythe as well as top-notch elements like camera work, stunts, directing and musical score all come together to bring you one unforgettable experience.
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains only the widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is terrific, but the extras consist of only a single trailer.
