The Replacements
A story about second chances and new beginnings, an NFL players' strike leaves team owners in a predicament, with some tough decisions to make quickly. For owner of the Washington football team (Jack Warden), he enlists an old acquaintance and coach Jimmy McGinty (Gene Hackman) to whip his new team into shape, a team of football could-have-beens that have found themselves down another road in life.
For one those players, Shane Falco (Keanu Reeves) this opportunity becomes his chance to face off against some old fears and tackle a hefty second chance at a dream.
Also starring Orlando Jones and Rhyms Ifans, the movie delivers a decent collection of performances along with an entertaining story, but nothing too extraordinary, it makes for an enjoyable middle of the road movie.

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the several extras.
