Short 7: Utopia

Escape to another world as Short presents volume 7 entitled Utopia, a collection of short independent films from around the world. Delve into the imagination and the world around us, glimpsing it through the camera's lens.

Packed with many extras for most of the features, anyone who enjoys independent film is sure to find something that catches their eye in this creative collection.

Of note: on the disc is a wonderful stop motion piece entitled More, which is the first stop motion film ever shot on 70mm, the film stock most commonly used for IMAX films. Only one of the nine films on the disc, it also features storyboards for the production, along with a director's interview and production notes.

The disc may not fit everybody's entertainment taste, but to those whom it does, it is like a rare treasure on DVD.

**

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen or full frame versions of the films. The mastering is decent but the video interlaced and the extras are great.
