Shrek
He's not so lean, and he's not so mean, but he's certainly one green fighting machine. He's "Shrek" the ogre, and star of this spectacular 3D animated film that will knock your socks off with its rich detail and have you, young or old, rolling barefoot on the floor with laughter.
With evil Lord Farquaad (voiced by John Lithgow) wrecking havoc on his kingdom, his biggest problem comes when he evicts all fairy tale creatures and characters to the swamp and home of Shrek (voiced by Mike Meyers). Now wishing a return of his solitude, Farquaad offers the swamp back to Shrek if he fetches him a princess (voiced by Cameron Diaz) to become his bride and make him a king.
And so with his sidekick, the talking Donkey (voiced by Eddie Murphy), Shrek heads off on an action packed adventure, ready to thrill audiences. Yes indeed, for a good time call Shrek, for he's sure to please. A wonderful story and from actors and animators, first rate performances, everything seems to come together perfectly, making this a movie not to be missed.
Parental Note: Minor Langauge
The two discs are single sided - dual layered, disc one containing the full frame pan and scan version of the movie and disc two the original widescreen version. The mastering is excellent, as are the many extras.
