The Sound of Music
Nothing sounds as sweet as "The Sound of Music," and with Julie Andrews singing the
beautiful melodies of Rogers and Hammerstein, it is sure to be one unforgettably magical and
musical journey.
Based on the stage production that was based on the real life story of Maria Von Trapp, we
slide alongside Maria (Andrews), as her life of becoming a nun, not quite going as planned, has
her assigned to help care for the seven children of Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer).
Here through the magic of music and love of the children, her life would never be the same.
Part of 20th Century Fox's Five Star Collection DVDs, there is no question why this movie
deserves five stars as with superb acting, music, choreography, story, direction, beautiful
settings and so much more, it's truly a movie masterpiece.
The 2 discs are single sided - dual layered, the first containing the original widescreen version
of the movie, while the second filled with extras is generally full frame.
The mastering is excellent, as are the many extras.
