Soldier
In a future not far from our own, a group of selected men are raised and conditioned from birth to become the ultimate "Soldier."
Kurt Russell stars in this action-packed movie as Todd, the best of these soldiers, raised only to know fear and discipline. However, when a new breed of soldier makes their way into the ranks; one genetically designed for greater performance, the old school quickly becomes obsolete. Todd soon finds himself left for dead, put out with the trash and dumped on a remote planet used as a garbage dump. Here he discovers a small settlement of peaceful people who show him a life he never knew. But when trouble comes, he must once again be all that he can be in an effort to save their lives.
The movie is right on target with intense action, wonderful effects and a great story, making it a real blast to watch.
The disc is double sided - single layered and contains the widescreen and full frame pan and scan versions of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but the extras few. A disappointing factor of the disc is the lack of production notes as listed on the packaging, however, cast and crew bios. not listed on the packaging make their way onto the disc.
