Space 1999: Vol 1

It's often interesting to take a step back in time and catch a glimpse of what people thought our modern day would be like. "Space 1999" was a taste of just that as Martin Landau starred as the Commander of moon base Alpha, dumping grounds for the nuclear waste of Earth.

An entertaining series from 1975, not much of the future was fortunately accurately foretold, as the show had the moon exploding out of Earth's orbit September 13, 1999... that is unless you count the fact bell bottom pants managed to somehow make a comeback.

Featuring some impressive special effects for its time, the DVD includes 3 classic episodes sure to be a pleasant treat for any true sci-fi fan.

Parental Note: Minor Violence

**

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the show. The mastering is decent, but the video is interlaced and there are few extras.
