Star Trek: Original Series: Vol 1

Where No Man Has Gone Before - Episode 2 - Sept. 22, 1966

Reaching the edge of the galaxy, the crew of the USS Enterprise discovers a 200-year-old flight control with a puzzling tale of its ship's demise. A strange space anomaly, which as always Captain Kirk (William Shatner) doesn't hesitate a second before flying the ship into, proves to answer many puzzling questions from the past, but at the same time nearly has the Enterprise sharing the untimely demise of the age-old ship.

Entertaining and exciting, the series proves right from the start why it became such a phenomenal hit.

The Corbomite Maneuver - Episode 3 - Nov. 10, 1966

Featuring an appearance from the young Clint Howard (Ron Howard's brother), the USS Enterprise finds itself and crew in grave danger as they encounter an alien race, which with little thought, leaves them with 10 minutes until they are destroyed. With all ship systems unresponsive and under the control of this alien ship, the crew can do little but count the minutes.

Another entertaining episode, Kirk (William Shatner) not wasting any time and to little surprise of those knowing the series, manages to by only episode 3 get his shirt off - woo woo ... yeah whatever.

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the program. The mastering is excellent, as are the few extras.
