Star Trek: Original Series: Vol 9
A piece of classic television well worth the release on DVD, "Star Trek: The Original Series" returns us to the unforgettable episodes of a series fans will undoubtably cherish for generations to come. Now available in a stunning brilliance like never before, there won't be a fan out there who will want to miss a single volume.
Shore Leave - Episode 17 - Discovering a paradisaic planet apparently free of human and animal life, it appears to be the perfect opportunity for some much needed shore leave. However, when those of the scouting landing party begin to have their very thoughts materialize before their very eyes, the captain himself beams down for a closer look.
The Squire of Gothos - Episode 18 - Approaching yet another uncharted planet in the vastness of space, although no apparent life is to be found by sensors, Captain Kirk and Sulu still find themselves suddenly transported to the surface. With a landing party not far behind, the Enterprise and crew find themselves not only the guest of one spunky humanoid named Trelane, but also his helpless prisoners. Now its up to Kirk to outwit and outsmart this man if they are ever to have their freedom.

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the program. The mastering is excellent, as are the few extras.
