Star Trek: Original Series: Vol 22
When it comes to classic sci-fi television, there isn't a finer example than that of
"Star Trek: The Original Series," and now on DVD re-mixed and re-mastered, sci-fi fans
can experience a piece of television history like never before. So sit back, relax and get
ready to cruise the cosmos at warp speed onboard the Enterprise.
Bread and Circuses - Episode 43 - Six years after the apparent loss of the survey vessel
S.S. Beagle, the Enterprise comes across debris of the ship, but with no sign of the crew.
Tracing the wreckage's path, they are lead to planet 892-IV, a near match of Earth, except
that unlike our planet, the Roman empire never fell. Beaming down to the planet, Kirk, Spock
and McCoy soon find themselves scheduled victims to die in the gladiatorial arena.
Journey to Babel - Episode 44 - Transporting several important political figures to the
planet Babel, including Spock's own parents, political unrest becomes the least of their
worries when Spock's father suffers a heart attack, one diplomat is murdered and a strange
unknown ship attacks the Enterprise. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a day in the life the
Enterprise crew, and certainly nothing Kirk and crew won't be able to overcome.
Parental Note:Minor Violence
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the
program. The mastering is excellent, as are the few extras.
