Star Trek: Original Series: Vol 27
As always "Star Trek: The Original Series" continues to deliver topnotch entertainment
with two more excellent episodes in volume 27. Something to be seen on DVD, fans will not
want to miss a disc of this classic series.
The Ultimate Computer - Episode 53 - In this man against machine episode, Kirk finds the
Enterprise fitted at starbase with the latest M-5 computer, a machine capable of running the
ship far more efficiently that any human, and threatening to quickly make Kirk obsolete. With
a crew of only 20, Kirk heads out reluctantly on the machine's training run, only to become a
near victim of a fatal computer error.
The Omega Glory - Episode 54 - Approaching planet Omega IV, the crew of the Enterprise
discovers the apparently deserted U.S.S. Exeter in orbit. Beaming down to the planet's
surface, Kirk, Spock and McCoy come face to face with Captain Tracey, the sole survivor of the
Exeter after struck from a rare destructive disease. To their dismay, they also discover
Tracey has violated the prime directive, getting involved in the affairs of this distant
planet.
Parental Note:Minor Violence
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the
program. The mastering is excellent, as are the few extras.
