Star Trek: Original Series: Vol 28
Always an adventure well worth the watch, the classic episodes of Star Trek never fail to
entertain as they boldly take us where no man has gone before.
Assignment Earth - Episode 55 - Traveling back to Earth of the late 1960s as historical
observers, the U.S.S. Enterprise to their surprise intercepts a transporter beam originating
from the farthest depths of space. Materializing the traveler, Kirk and crew are unable to
discover the man's intentions before he escapes to the planet's surface. Following suite,
Kirk and Spock beam down in disguise in the hopes of adverting any possible alterations to
mankind's history.
Spectre of the Gun - Episode 56 - Setting course for the planet of Melkots in the hopes
of initiating peaceful relations with the Melkotians and the Federation, Kirk, Spock, McCoy,
Scotty and Chekov find themselves in dire circumstances. Beaming down to the planet after
ignoring the message of a warning buoy, they find themselves recipients of the death penalty
and strangely enough, only hours away from the western gun battle of the 1800s at the O.K.
Corral. But one of the many exciting history lesson episodes in Star Trek style, the wild
west was never as wild as with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Parental Note:Minor Violence
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the
program. The mastering is excellent, as are the few extras.
