Star Trek: Original Series: Vol 35
Continuing the collection of classic episodes from the Star Trek series, volume 35 of "Star Trek: The Original Series" presents another two exciting episodes from one of televisions most adored programs. With both writing and performances that are truly unforgettable, it is not hard to see why names such as The Enterprise, Captain Kirk, Spock and the many others are the household names they are today.
That Which Survives - Episode 69 - Captain Kirk and crew may have met their match and their end, as approaching a mysterious planet, Kirk and a small landing party find themselves trapped on its surface while Spock with the Enterprise instantaneously 1000 light years away. Up against such power which they soon discover is set on destroying them all through a beautiful woman, they must put all their effort forth if they are to survive.
Let That be Your Last Battlefield - Episode 70 - On a decontamination mission of the planet Ariannus, The Enterprise encounters a shuttle craft which has been reported missing. Using the tractor beam to bring it onboard, Kirk comes face to face with the alien being Lokai. Soon after, another ship is encountered carrying an alien names Bele. Although very much alike, a strong racial hatred exists between the two, and with Bele determined to bring Lokai back to their home planet to face questionable charges, Kirk is left to decide their fate, or so it appears until Bele takes control of the ship.
Parental Note:Minor Violence
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the program. The mastering is excellent, as are the few extras.
