Three Kings
Witty and touching with an artistic flair, George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube take us on a high energy road trip across the desert of Iraq in search of stolen Kuwaiti gold.
The Gulf War over, the rumour of hidden gold becomes an urban legend of sorts, and when a map is found, a handful of troops head out on their own secret mission. Now on foreign soil, their eyes are opened to a whole other side of the war, one they at first chose to ignore, but as lives of civilians are put on the line before them, they must decide what is more important to them, golden riches or innocent lives.
Smart and humorous, the film touches base with some serious issues while delivering some dynamite action. Unfortunately as a whole, the movie is less than explosive, the real umph getting lost somewhere in the vast desert sands.
Parental Note:Language, Violence, Adult Situations
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the many extras.
