Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Many a popular video game title has made it to the Hollywood silver screen, and many with their fair share of success. "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" is certainly no exception, as not only does it star the talented actress Angelina Jolie as the leading lady, but additionally it delivers wonderful acting, writing and story to boot.

Similar to the popular Tomb Raider video games, we find ourselves following the adventurous Lara Croft (Jolie) as she heads around the world, venturing deep into mysterious ancient ruins after long lost artifacts.

In the movie, as the planets of our solar system prepare for a rare alignment, the Clock of Ages becomes of key interest to several treasure hunters, with this rare planetary occurrence giving the possessor of this ancient relic power over time itself. And, as with any struggle for great power, some hold the desire to do good while others that of bad, thus resulting in a race against time for time.

A truly great adventure movie a bit reminiscent of the Indiana Jones films, action and adventure have little for limits, delivering plenty of heart-racing excitement. Of some interest, Jolie's real life father, actor Jon Voight also portrays her father in the film.

Parental Note: Violence, Adult Situations
