The Twilight Zone: Vol.1
One of the few television shows that stand up against the tests of time, one takes us on a
journey into the mind like no other has or maybe ever will. Following the road of the unknown
and imagination, the sign post up ahead, that's your next stop, The Twilight Zone.
As volume one sets out on a bold journey for any collector, we are treated to a few of the great
and cherished episodes.
The Night of the Meek: Dec. 1961 - Episode 51 - Art Carney stars as a department store
Santa with little purpose in life. However deep inside, he knows the true meaning of Christmas
giving and finds himself not only stepping into The Twilight Zone, but also into the real shoes
of Santa.
The Invaders: Jan. 27/1961 - Episode 47 - Considered one of the great classics of the
series, a woman a far cry from help must fend off aliens who land in the attic of her small
farm house, but who indeed are the aliens?
Nothing in the Dark: Jan. 5/1962 - Episode 81 - An old woman who has locked herself in a
small apartment, lives determined not to go outside with the fear of meeting Mr. Death. When a
young man played by Robert Redford comes to her door in need of help, she comes to learn she
must eventually move on and has nothing to fear.
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the
program. The mastering is terrific, but with few extras.
