Unbreakable
In a world with little hope and fewer heroes, the search for help is not so simple. In comic
book tales, mankind always had that light of hope in their world of darkness as their hero
battled evil, helping good prevail, at least until the next issue.
As for David Dunne (Bruce Willis), he strived to do his best to serve and protect the common
people as a stadium security guard. This however was only the beginning as after a devastating
train accident kills all onboard but him, he is left with not a single scratch, but plenty of
questions.
In more than a chance meeting, he comes face to face with Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), a
comic book connoisseur who sheds some light on his peculiar predicament.
A wonderful story accented by terrific performances, the film's only weakness lies in its
artistically long single shots that seem to drag on and on, only managing to awkwardly slow
down the pacing of the movie. Overall, the story and concept alone carry the movie, and with
enough twists to keep you guessing, it is sure to please.
