Vertigo: Collector's Edition

One of the great Alfred Hitchcock classics, "Vertigo" takes us on a boy meets girl, boy loses girl journey through life, with of course a mysterious Hitchcock twist.

Suffering from the fear of heights after his near death, John Ferguson (James Stewart) is convinced his days as a detective are over. Learning of this, an old friend he hasn't seen for many years hires him to follow his deranged wife (Kim Novak), fearing she is being tormented by a long dead ancestor.

What John finds is a woman leading two separate lives simultaneously and yet unaware the other even exists, while at the same time finding himself falling madly in love. When his new love strangely commits suicide by jumping from a bell tower, he nearly loses his sanity at the loss of love. However, the detective still deep within shows him there is much more than what appears at first sight.

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is terrific, as are the many extras.
