The World is Not Enough

The 19th installment in the James Bond 007 series, The World is Not Enough takes everyone's favourite secret agent on yet another action packed thrill ride full of explosive action and enticing women.

With a close personal friend of M's mysteriously murdered and an international terrorist a prime suspect, James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is sent to keep a close eye on the deceased's daughter Electra King (Sophie Marceau). An oil heiress with a dark past and a world of turmoil about her, King's deadly secret and burning determination has Bond in the middle of an explosive conspiracy that threatens the world's oil supply.

Not as dynamic as Brosnan's past excursions as Bond, this movie has M and Money Penny delivering more sexual innuendos than Bond. In addition, the wonderful comedic actor John Cleese makes an appearance as R, Q's assistant, but is weakly written into the part with little of the great humour he is known for.

No matter its few flaws, fans will eat up all the action Bond never fails to deliver, not to mention the beautiful women also including Denise Richards as Christmas Jones in addition to Marceau.

Of note, with talk of retirement even in the movie and the appearance of R (John Cleese), it looks as if it may have foreshadowed the passing of Desmond Llewelyn, a Bond keystone who made his 17th and final appearance as Q in this film.
