The War of the Worlds
In one of the greatest pieces of classic science fiction, the Earth and its inhabitants face imminent destruction from a deadly Martian invasion.
Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, but best known for its 1938 radio show adaption that was broadcast 15 years before the movie, many a listener that October shared in mankind's plight against aliens from afar. In fact, even though the radio show was introduced as, as well as during the regular scheduled time of Well's radio show, many were convinced Martians were actually attacking.
