Young Frankenstein

A movie that does have its moments, Young Frankenstein unfortunately as a whole overplays cheap laughs and silly writing to the point of near unbearableness.

The movie tells of the great grandson of Dr. Frankenstein who returns to Transylvania to claim all that was willed to him late relative, only to find himself following in his grandfather's footsteps. Now with another crazed monster on the loose, Dr. Frankenstein does his best not to make the same mistakes his grandfather did.

Fans of the original Frankenstein movies are sure to get a kick out of many of the parodies, but those who have not seen them may find the story quite weak. Even with a handful of good laughs, the movie still falls short of great.

Parental Note: Sexual Overtones

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is terrific, as are the many extras.
