B= BLACK SUNDAY
My favorite movie from my favorite director, atmosphere just oozes outta this sucker.

C= CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST
Whether you like this film or not, it’s impossible to deny it’s impact, utterly disturbing yet compelling in a roadside accident sorta way.

D= DEEP RED
By Mr. Big Name Italian Horror Director, too bad he doesn’t make movies like this anymore. Super-Giallo!

E= THE EXORCIST III
Yep, I dig the third part way more than the first, anyone disagree?

F=FRIDAY THE 13Th
The first one. I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for this one, maybe it’s childhood reminiscing, maybe not. Who cares. Sure it’s stupid but no one will ever forget it.

G= THE GATES OF HELL
This was my first exposure to Italian horror, long before I cared where a movie came from or who directed it. The scream that starts it off still brings a smile to my face.

H= THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY
Uh oh, letters ‘g’ and ‘h’ are both by the same director. That’s not very fair is it?

I= INNOCENTS FROM HELL
I love this movie, I own three different copies of it, if I keep this up no one else will ever see it.

J= THE JOHNSONS
This movie creeped the hell out of me, maybe I’ll tell you why some day.

K= Nothing
I’ve got absolutely nothing for the letter ‘K’, suggestions anyone?

L=A LIZARD IN A WOMAN’S SKIN
Hat trick for Lucio Fucli, he’s sweeping the alphabet.

M= MANIAC
Slasher fun from the states. No, message. No redeeming social value. Just violence for the sake of violence.

N= NIGHTMARE
By Romano Scavolini. Heavy on the blood, light on the story, heavy on the controversy, light on the Tom Savini.

O= THE OTHER HELL
Bad nuns. Fun with sacrilege

P= PHANTASM
Watch out for tall men with shiny balls.

Q= Q:The WINGED SERPENT
What other choices do I have for the letter ‘Q’?

R= THE RITUAL OF DEATH
Brazilian gore, has a scene involving two naked people making out in a blood-filled bathtub with a severed goat’s head thrown in for extra perversity points.

S= SUSPIRIA
Don’t worry, the story doesn’t make much sense to any one, just watch the visuals.

T= TOMBS OF THE BLIND
Ahhh, Spanish horror at it’s best. Anchor Bay released a remastered, uncut, letterboxed print of this a while ago, that for some reason or another, we didn’t get here. I’m pissed. A special apology goes out to Leatherface and the rest of his family. I really wanted to include you guys here, but those Templars are pretty hard to argue with.

U= UNSANE
I’m cheating with the alphabet here a bit. I don’t actually recommend the UNSANE version because it’s cut all to hell. TENEBRAE is uncut but the letter ‘t’ was already used up because of TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD, and I sure as hell wasn’t going to get rid of that one.

V= A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD
Everyone else in the world hates this movie except for me. If I’m wrong and anyone reading this, enjoys this movie, please let me know. It’d be nice to know that I’m not alone.

W= WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOLANGE?
Great, great giallo. One of my favorites.

X= XTRO
For the same reasons that I chose Q: THE WINGED SERPENT for ‘Q’.

Y=
I don’t think I’ve ever even seem a movie that starts with the letter ‘Y’ can I pick HOUSE WITH THE YELLOW CARPET? It’s got a ‘Y’ in the title.

Z= ZOMBIE
Poke your eyes out kids.

On a side note, I warn you. Many of these movies are not good! Do not take this list as a recommendation for movies to watch. I like these for many reasons other than their actual merits.
