SKIN LAB
Monster X, 20 Dead Flower Children
@ConeyIslandHigh Jan 10th,1998

Aggressive band, that toured with other hard bands such as Napalm death, Exodus. They are said to sound like Machine Head who happens to have helped produce their album, "Bound, Gagged and Blindfolded" . But I think they sound better.
The lead singer Steev, was rumored to be the new singer of Sepultura, but that rumor was later confirmed to be false by the lead singer himself.
I was somewhat disappointed in the crowd, because first of all the show wasn't that crowded and the only people moshing were friends of Monster X. One particular mosher was a crazy drunk skinhead, that encircled the empty pit like an orangutan knocking anyone in the way. So, there was no way, I could even stand there.
Overall it was a nice experience when I met them. None seemed obnoxious or shitty. So I was able to take plenty pictures of them backstage. They didn't seem to mind. On my way up, I fell down the stairs, and the drummer of Skinlab caught me. Strong armed guy!!

MONSTER X
Hardcore band from New Jersey. Good. They bought all their friends to see them and consequently the mosh pit was monopolized by them. They rocked hard.
20 Dead Flower Children
This was a good band from Detroit. They were hard, the kind that you could jam to. At times they were funky-like, and had a unique sound to them. The lead singer rolled all over the dirty stage. This band opened up for Screw, before.

This was a punk band that I am not that familiar with. But it was pretty good. The lead singer liked to jump in the audience. The lead guitarist played so hard that I could see the veins stick out of his temple
