Snot, FishBone, Dubwar @Tramps Aug 2nd,1997 | SNOT |

Snot was very good, probably one of the best bands, that I have ever seen in a while. They played hard, loud and good. Only a few people moshed, they were saving their energy for Fishbone. But I think Snot is much better than Fishbone. Very talented musicians. The drummer, was very passionate, he banged those drums so hard. I realized this, cuz, when he threw the drumsticks in the audience, the sticks were really blistered and worn out. I have never seen drumsticks that looked so used. He pounded on those drums!!!
Lynn Strait was good, but the Tramps sound system wasn't that good, and I couldn't hear Lynn's voice that well. He did some real high jumps. He kept lifting up his shirt and showing off his tattoo, that said INSECURE on his stomach. I found that interesting. After the show, I spoke to Mikey the guitarist, who autographed a poster I ripped off the wall. I had no pen, but he seemed pleased when I gave him my lipstick to write with. I then asked to shake his hand, he took my hand and kissed it . I even felt his saliva on my hand.
DUBWAR | |||
British rock band that mixes dub with their music. Their music was good. Very energetic. They played their hit song Strike when the Iron is Hot. The lead singer was entertaining to watch, cuz, he was just jumping all around the stage.
FISHBONE | |||
I used to listen to fishbone when I was 14. They are funky. Angelo jumped all around the stage, and moshed all around the audience. I think, He was on drugs. He kept dancing on and on like the energizer bunny without running out of energy. Wouldn't mind taking what he had. The drummer obnoxiously had his drum set facing the wall, and didn't give a shit about the audience. I guess he wanted to be different. The came on at 11p.m and finished 2:30a.m the morning. During the concert, I felt so tired and after a while got tired off hearing them play the same beat. Like I think he was just singing out of tune. I think they were all on drugs. They played a couple of cool stuff in the beginning. Just check their link out. He passed the mike around to people who shouted in it. I liked it cuz, he encouraged audience participation. Oh I touched his sweaty back, it was gross. |
