When I first saw Lucy Lawless, I was completely awe-struck; I couldn't breath, I couldn't talk and I couldn't move. Not to mention the fact that I had a three-foot long pixie stick hanging from my mouth, but that's a really long story for another time and place (better yet, just email me if you want the whole story). So, in the end, my friend got her autograph instead of me. But, I was lucky enough to see Lucy up close on a variety of other occassions during her run as Rizzo in Grease (for the first time in my life, I was actually happy to call New York City my home), and she was not only beautiful with blue eyes that could pierce right through you, but she was very nice often staying up to twenty minutes after the show to sign autographs outside the stage door.
Over the course of the past few years, she become one of my heroes and I can truly say, she has changed my life in ways I can't even begin to imagine (for starters giving me the opportunity to meet some of the best friend's a girl could ever have) and for this I'm forever thankful. So, here's my fun-loving, totally tongue-in-cheek tribute to the one and only Warrior Princess (just the way I think Lucy would want it)!
