As the year 2000 dawns, Phillip J. Fry, pizza delivery boy from New York is (accidentally) cryogenically frozen. He is thawed out 999 years and 364 days later, to find that more things change, the more they stay the same. First appearance of Fry, Leela, Bender, and Professor Farnsworth. Guest appearances by Leonard Nimoy and Dick Clark.
The Series Has Landed (Aired 04/04/99)
Fry and company make a delivery to the moon. Fry goes in search of the original Apollo landing, while Bender gets in trouble with a farmer's beautiful robot daughter. Features folksinging. First appearance of Hermes Conrad, Dr. Zoidberg, Amy Wong, and Mr. Horrible Gelatinous Blob.
I, Roommate (Aired 04/06/99)
Fry has to find a new place to live, so he moves in with Bender. Since, however, robots have incredibly small apartments, the two search for new digs, but discover discrimination. Can a robot and a 20th century human live together without driving each other and everybody else crazy? (Insert "Odd Couple" theme here)
Love's Labors Lost in Space (Aired 04/13/99)
On a mercy mission to a doomed planet, the gang meets Zapp Brannigan, a space pilot who makes Zaphod Beeblebrox seem shy and retiring in comparison. Will Zapp manage to score with a certain one-eyed alien chick? Eww...

Fry defends the Earth from alien attack.
Fry and the Slurm Factory (to air next fall)
Fry and company learn about Slurm, the addictive alien beverage.
Fox has ordered an additional 22 episodes. In all likelihood, the network will hold over two to four of those episodes to air in the beginning of season 3, assuming that the show is renewed for a third season.
