Home Up

Once I arrived in Hopfgarten, I met up with the rest of the Contiki tour, who had come from London by coach, at the Gastof Schöneck, where I was to stay. The skiing was great (although I had a few near misses with assorted ski-racks), and the lifestyle was amazing. The aprés-ski was possibly more tiring than the skiing, and by the end of the week I was pretty worn out. But it was worth it.

The Tyrolean Alps  A fantastic view outside a mountain Gastof  Grant, Jeremy, me and Andrea in front of a solid ice-statue  Outside the Gastof, to lay back and relax for a while  Lying in the snow, outside another Gastof, at Kelschau

Grant, me, Andrea and Josh, stopping for lunch at a mountain Gastof  Me at Kelschau  One of the ski-runs at Kelschau  A very frosty church, on top of Hohe Salve mountain  A Gastof in Hopfgarten, with the Alps in the background

Me running out into the snow after having been in the sauna. Yes, I was sober.  Snow-covered trees outside the Gastof where I was staying  An example of the aprés-ski... the schnapps was drunk by Nicola and Michelle immediately after this photo was taken
