Lord Soth (250 points)
+ 50 points Sword of Fiery Death
+ 100 points Armour of Faith
+ 50 points Purple Cloak
Your army may
include Lord Soth. He may lead the army is you wish, though he
does not have to. If you choose him to lead the army then he
replaces the general described in the main army list.
Lord Soth, once a noble knight, became enamored with an elfmaid,
with whom he committed adultery. He then murdered his wife so he
could marry his elven mistress. When his new bride learned of
Soth's actions, she prayed for him to be forgiven; Soth did
likewise. Their prayers were answered, Soth was given the power
to travel to Istar and prevent the Cataclysm, a fierce rain of
fiery death. While en route, Soth was deceived into believing
that his wife had been unfaithful and, while he stormed back to
confront her, the Cataclysm occurred unchecked. Soth watched as
his family was incinerated, but the fires that burnt away his
flesh did not kill him; instead, Soth was doomed to become a
Death Knight, an undead warrior with a soul like ash. Though he
still adheres to shreds of his knightly code, Lord Soth is beyond
redemption, and will forever exist in pain.

magic items : Lord Soth always take the following magic
items; Sword of Fiery Death, Armour of Faith and Purple Cloak of
Mist.
Sword of Fiery Death
While he was burning in the Cataclysm it did something to him
and his weapons and armour, his sword was enchanted with the
power of incineration, when he wounds someone with it, it burns
inside the body causing incredible pain.
For each wound caused by the sword you roll an dice; on a 1-3 you
cause 2 wounds, on a 5 or 6 you cause 3 wounds and on a 6 you
cause 4 wounds instead of one.
Armour of Zadrum
Also this item was forged in the Cataclysm, but this
enchantment was stranger then that of the sword, this one
enchanted his armour, but also the barding of his horse. It was
only in the next battle, when was fighting a small goblin mob
trying to rob him, that he noticed that every hit he took in
close combat was absorbed by the armour. Even the leader of those
pesky greenskins could not harm him, and that one had some weird
looking spear. Soon after he noticed that they could not harm him
he just sad there on his loyal horse and laughed at the goblins
trying to kill him, after a while he had enough of it and took
out the goblin lord in a single blow, causing the rest of the
goblins to run away as fast as they could.
Lord Soth can't be harmed by attacks in hand-to-hand combat, so
if he gets wounds in h-t-h combat it is reduced to zero (note
that it doesn't matter if the opponent has a magical weapon or
not). Lord Soth can still be harmed by magic spells or shooting
weapons/machines.
The Armour of Zadrum also gives Lord Soth a 1+ modified save.
Purple Cloak of Mist
As the Cloak moves in the air it creates a thick mist, that
makes it more difficult to see anything through it. So if Lord
Soth is moving it creates a long line of mist that makes it hard
to target anything in it.
If somebody just shot or cast a spell at Lord Soth or the unit he
with, there is a change that it misses the target. After the
action has been done but before damage is dealt opponent rolls a
D6, on a 1 or 2 the shot or spell misses the target.
(Note that this only applies when Lord Soth or the unit he is
with is targeted, not as a result of a out of control shot or
spell already in play.)
Special Rules
Terror
Lord Soth is powerful and a frightening foe who causes terror as
described in the Psychology section of the Warhammer rulebook.
Immune to psychology
Lord Soth is not effected by psychology. He is immune to fear,
terror, panic and all other psychology tests.
Resistence
Lord Soth has resistance against all kinds of diseases (eg.
Plague) and has total immunity against all fire attacks (eg.
Fireball). If you don't know for sure if a spell is a disease or
not, first look at the title of the spell, words like plague and
pestilence can make it clear it's a disease or not, if it's still
not clear, roll both a D6, highest roll wins.
Curse of infernal longevity
Lord Soth is cursed with the fact that he can't die. If Lord Soth
died in the battle you can bring him back by skipping one of your
magic phases. Just place the model as soon as you skip your magic
phase within 5 inch from the area he died in, allowing him to
continue fighting.
