My Opinion
(By Katrina)

Hi! I'm a Swedish girl of 18 yrs who is pretty nuts on ALL adventure films. Q for C isn't the best I've ever seen (that's probably "Labyrinth" or "Robin Hood"), but hey, it's not as bad as they say, either.
First of all: Main characters are better than any other in cartoon history. Kayley is the best heroine ever in an adventure, and Garrett can only be compared to another C. Elwes character, that is, Westley in "The Princess Bride". And that's an even game.
Music: Well, I didn't like it much (which made the first half hour a bit
dull), but I know that others did. And the lyrics may not be fantastic, but lyrics seldom are -we can't all be Tim Rice.(But I found it quite amusing when somebody said about "All on my own I stand alone" 'Is there some other way?')
Are Devon & Cornwall copied from the genie in "Aladdin"? Well, yes. And no, because I've always thought that the genie is pretty much "Merry Melodies", so, who's the thief?
Animation: Well, I wouldn't know, but to me it looks pretty OK, at least
it's better than on TV.
Story: Has a few holes, but they're not so big, really. And anyone who tries logic on an adventure movie should be hung, drawn and quartered. And the original idea and surroundings are better than the average. It's not enough Arthur: Well, if you like him, that might be a problem. I couldn't care less. And who owns myths? They've given tRT all current virtues: So did Howard Pyle. And he was just annoyingly merry, while this movie is charming.
Ruber: Not so well done, a bit boring, I admit it. But, then again, lots
of villains are less interesting. I think I might have been a bit spoiled by Alan Rickman.
Garrett isn't enough "debilitated" and doesn't seem "convincing": These are my personal favourites among stupidities. After at least ten years, with a young strong body, a sharp mind, a cane and Ayden, there's no reason to think he would be HELPLESS. Actually, that he isn't speaks in favour of the movie, because that's closer to reality than to Hollywood stereotypes, according to which no handicapped person can take care of
themselves. (I have a paraplegic best friend who is pretty upset about that, by the ay.)And his blindness is an impediment in 7 cases, while only a help once. Why is Ruber ever allowed to be a KotRT: Point well made. I don't know. Maybe Arthur wants to have him where he can keep an eye on him. (And this is not a very different problem from why God allowed Satan to slither into his Eden.)
Last of all, this whole film isn't supposed to be taken seriously. If it were, they wouldn't have e.g. the giant's toothpick, or the "Just knighted"-sign.
