How has Lauryn inspired you?: She has inspired me.... because she is herself. Lauryn inspires me every day and its so hard for me to put my admiration of her into words. Being a female, I look up to her immensley as a mentor. What I mean by she is herself is I can relate to her lyrics because they are real, I can relate to her experiences because they are real and I can relate to her struggle because it is real. Shes one of a minority of female artists that are not afraid to be themselves in this business of the music industry. I love that about her. Shes not afraid to show her love for God, or for her children or her culture and that is very courageous- and she does it all in the public eye. NOW THAT TAKES SOME GUTS!!! By her music, I can tell that she is so fearless, she is strong, and shes had her fair share of hurt and pain and learnt from this. She not afraid to show the world her real self and shes totally open and honest in her music. She writes music to inspire people and not alot of people aim to do that anymore, because alot of the focus of this industry these days is solely on image. I honestly believe that she is a vehicle for Gods words and not only that but a brilliant and caring humanitarian. And boy can she sing!!! She is the most talented producer, rapper, singer, and creator of music I've ever come accross. The way she inspires me is infinite and I want to say more but I cant put my feelings to words. Lauryn Hill does a brilliant job of representing the females in the business too.
