How to Make An American Quilt (1995)

Winona Ryder stars as Finn, a young college student who can't make up her mind about marrying her boyfriend Sam (Dermot Mulroney). So she decides to go to the house of her great-aunt to spend some time thinking. There she hears the stories of many great women which helps her to make the right decision. Claire turns up in a small role as young Glady Jo, Anne Bancroft's character as a teenager.

Home for the Holidays (1995)

Jodie Foster directed this ensemble comedy about a woman named Claudia (Holly Hunter), who is dreading her visit home for Thanksgiving. Making things worse is the fact that she has lost her job, and the fact that her daughter Kitt (Claire) is about to loose her virginity during the holidays.
