Birger Rokne's tribute page to
Michael Richards - Kramer.
The creators of the Seinfeld series, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry
Davis, decided to write
this strange man into the manuscript, and so they created
one of the most popular
tv-character today.
Michael Richards plays the character
Kramer
in the Seinfeld serie, and Richards
depiction of Kramer has earned him cult status rarely bestowed
upon an actor.
In performing his role as Kramer he brings a physical agility
that is rarely seen.
Influenced by the legendary Charlie Chaplin, his specialty
is using physical comedy.
The man with this insane hair style, falls in Seinfeld's
door in a new way every day.
You could ask yourselves: How many ways is it possible to
make an entrance trough
a door? Surely Kramer must have tried the most of them.
Kramer is a simple person who gets involved a little bit
to much in other peoples lives.
His full name in the serie is Cosmo Kramer, and he lives
at least half his life in Jerry's
apartment, where he borrows things, watches TV and eats.
It's easy to be charmed
by a man that lives 5 minutes before the present.
Ironically, the zany one tends to be the groups's etiquette
watchdog. Kramer once
said in an episode: "Without rules, there's chaos." And in
the episode "The Face
Painter" he says : "Good manners are the glue of society.
If you don't want to be a
part of society, Jerry, why don't you move to the east side!?!"
