History:The former assistant of the Hellfire Club's Sebastian Shaw, Sage is a telepath with limited abilities, nowhere near as advanced as White Queen or Phoenix. Sage was once the adviser and counselor to Shaw, in his business and more secret dealings. Now Sage has left his side and has wound up at the X-mansion, revealing that she had been secretly recording all of Shaw's actions and controlling him for Professor Xavier all along.
Sage had a hand at training some of the X-Men as well as an attempt to persuade Senator Robert Kelly not to run for president, warning him he would become a parallel to Magneto in ever way if he went through with his campaign.
Shortly after Storm re-named Tessa Sage and made her a part of her renegade X-Treme team and had he help the team's cause, in searching for the lost diaries of Destiny.
Sage has apparently developed the ability to detect mutants, and also to temporarily catalyze a latent mutant's powers. She has also trained as a martial artist and is quite lethal when she needs to be.
