Letters to the Editor

After getting humungous amounts of e-mail containing the same questions about the film I decided to make a Letters to the Editor section (which is just a long, fancy way of saying FAQ section). Below are my opinions to the questions you all have sent in about the film and this site.

How come Usher was barely in the film when the media made it seem like he was a main character?
Personally, I'm glad Usher wasn't in the movie *hate mail welcome*. I mean face it. No singer can act worth shit. And no acter can sing worth shit. I think the reason Usher was focoused in the Tommy ads and the previews and commericials for the film is for publicity purposes only. His name is a lot more well known than any of the other acters and would have attracted more of an audience. I can't stand it when little teeny bopper Usher fans complain about how Usher wasn't in it. Going just to annoy the rest of the audience by screaming when a certain person comes on screen is rediculus, annoying, and stupid.

When did Delilah become "infected"?
I'm not sure but this is what I think happened: Remember when Casey came back to the school with the cops and begged to call Delilah? The officer said she hadn't arrived home yet. So what I'm thinking is that maybe an alien caught up with her while she was on her way home and "infected" her. Here is another fan's interpretation: Deliliah gets infected when Zeke cuts off Mr. Furlong's fingers. When The come at Marybeth and she screams. A scene or two later we see one of the fingers crawling up Delilah's leg. Another theory: When she and Casey are in the handicap bathroom Deliliah is called to the office.

When did Gabe get "infected"?
There's a shot of him sitting in a chair in the nurse's office getting an eye exam or something like that...maybe he gets infected there?

Who's that black girl in the Tommy Ads? Is she even in the movie?
Her name is Kidda Jones (daughter of producer Quincy Jones) and she's a Tommy Model. She was in the film for like 5 seconds. She was an extra in the scene where Mr Ferlone is examining the weird new species in the biology lab.

Why isn't Stan in the movie poster?
Another thing about publicity. They probably decided to put Usher in the poster instead of Stan to attract a wider audience. Very stupid if you ask me because I dig Shawn Hatosy a lot more than Usher.

You know when Delilah + Casey are investigating in the faculty room and when he tells her she can be nice and they look at each other longingly? Do they fancy each other?
Well I'm not sure about Deliliah but I know Casey had a crush on her. Deliliah might have been flattered by his comment about being nice and just flashed him a smile but who knows?

Did Zeke like Marybeth?
I think he did. I mean he practically oozed "I like Marybeth". For example, he showed her around school, kissed her in the lab, and stood up for her when Delilah started to sass her out in his basement, the way he looked at her when she was naked. Too bad she was an alien.

Was the lady that plays Mrs Olson in the 70's version of Carrie?
Yep she was! The woman who plays Mrs Olson (Piper Laurie) played the religious bible-belt Mrs White (Carrie's mom).

What kind of car does Zeke drive?
I actually have the answer to that question...hehe...Zeke drives a...long, beat up blue car with a red stripe on it. Hahaha. Didn't expect that now did ya? But seriously, he had a 1970 Pontiac GTO.

How long did it take for you to translate the script to this movie? How did you do it? Why did you make it?
It took around 3 days to actually translate and then a few hours to edit. What I did to create the script was I snuck an audio recorder into the theatre (which is not pleasent if you're caught and I don't recommend doing it unless you're a die hard fan) and recorded the sound of the movie onto tape. Then I took the tape home and listened to it, pausing it every few seconds so I could write down the words. I saw the movie 3 times and tried to memorize the actions the characters did while they were saying their lines. Then I added the actions into the script (most are correct I think but some are made up because I couldn't remember the origionals). I decided to make it because I was bored. Boredom is a very dangerous thing. Also I thought it was a good enough movie to waste my time translating and I thought you nice people would enjoy reading it.
