How to Install the Web Ring Logo

If you follow this exactly you'll have no problem! These are step-by-step instructions.

  1. Highlight the Web Ring Code by clicking with your mouse at the beginning of the code and dragging the mouse down to the bottom. When it's highlighted, hold the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and press the letter "C". You have now copied the code.

  2. With the page you wish to put the code on in the editor, click your mouse where you wish to put the logo, and hold "Ctrl" and press the letter "V". The code will appear. You have now pasted it into your page.

  3. Now there are a few changes you need to make and only change these parts! Near the top of the code you will find a part that says "_site_id_here" replace that text with the site id you were assigned when you joined. (This is for the big "Next Site" button".)

  4. Next, find the text in the code that says "SITE_OWNER_EMAIL". replace that with your e-mail address. Directly after that is some text that says "Your_Name_Here". Put your name there.

  5. Scroll down near the bottom of the code and you will find four lines in a row that say "_site_id_here_". Put your site id in each of them. Then look down at not the next line, but the one after that. It says the same thing, so put your site id there too.

  6. Check that you have done the following: Added your site id a total of 6 times, put your e-mail address in the appropriate spot and filled in your name. If you have, you're done! Simply e-mail me! and I'll add you to the ring!
