of the script is very confusing and senseless.
Characters:
Assassin #1, Mark Baxter, Sue Baxter, Indio
Action: Sue Baxter jumps into pool. Shot of a man with a gun. She swims across pool. Shot of gun. She stops in center of pool (close-up). Shot of gun. She swims to the side of the pool, gets out, and walks over to her husband, Mark Baxter, and kisses him. She grabs the glasses on the table and walks in the house. Shot of a man with the gun. He aims and fires. Mark grabs his chest and falls forward. The assassin walks over to the body and takes an envelope out of the man’s pocket, lights a cigar and leaves. Sue returns and finds Mark dead. (Shot of Indio watching)
Characters: Assassin #2, Frank Baxter, Indio
Action: A woman is driving down a country road and looks in her rearview mirror. Shot of a motorcycle cop behind her. She rides along and looks in the mirror again. The cop signals her to pull off to the side of the road. She pulls off. The cop gets off the bike. Close-up of the cop’s gun on his belt. Cop walks over to the window of the car. Shot of the woman inside the car. Shot of the cop. Suddenly, the woman in the car shoots gas in his face. He grabs his face and collapses. The woman gets out of the car and pulls an envelope out the cop’s pocket and lights a cigar. A sign on the back of the car reads: ‘Cops Suck." (Indio watches)

Action: A man with dark glasses is carrying a briefcase as he walks through Glen Echo Amusement Park. Quick close-ups of the building of the park mixed with shots of the man’s face & briefcase. He sits down at a picnic table and opens the briefcase. Shot of a woman sitting not far from the man. He looks at her weirdly. He looks into the case. A shot of the woman. He looks into the case. He looks at her again. The man pulls a container out of the case and opens it. Close-up of the interior of the container which reveals that it is filled with mushrooms. He casually eats the mushrooms as he stares at the woman. Suddenly, his eyes roll and he collapses. The woman walks over to the man and pulls an envelope out of his jacket and lights a cigar. Characters: Assassin #4, Art Baxter, His Barber, Indio
Action: A man is sitting in a chair. His servant puts shaving cream on his face. Close-up of the servant’s evil face. The servant takes out a blade and prepares to use it. Close-up of the blade. Close-up of the man’s shaving creamed face. The blade goes to this neck & stops then begins to shave. Suddenly, the blade falls out of camera view. Close-up of the man’s face looking confused. Camera pulls back to reveal that a man has finished off the servant. The man in the car turns to his hood to see the intruder. The man runs with his shaving cream face with white sheet on. The assassin pulls out a brief case and begins to assemble a gun. The man continues to run, occasionally turning back to look 9intercut with assassin assembling the gun). Finally, the gun is constructed and the assassin shoots the man. He falls, the assassin takes the envelope out of his pocket, and lights a cigar. (Indio watches)

Action: Close-up of a mailbox 9a ticking sound in the background). A woman is walking toward it. Shot of mailbox. Man in walking toward it. Shot of mailbox. Man is waling toward it. Shot of the mailbox. The man walks over the box. He begins to open it. Close-up of this tense face. He opens it. Quick shot of a jogger. He pulls out a granade, pulls the pin, and throws it at the jogger. The jogger catches it like a hot potato. Suddenly, the jogger grabs his chest and dies of a heart attack. The man walks over to the body and takes the envelope out of this jacket and lights a cigar. (Indio watches)

Action: A man with a bathrobe on enters his bathroom. He gets in the bathtub. An assassin enters the bathroom an points a gun at him. He sinks into the tub which is filled with suds. The assassin can’t pull the trigger and drips the gun and runs. The assassin runs out of the house and jumps into a car. The man chases after her but is too late. (Indio watches and is not pleased)
Characters: Harry, Man
Action: Medium shot of a man running down a street. Another man whose legs and hand carrying a gun are only revealed is chasing him. This chase continues for awhile until the man being chased runs down a dead end alley, trips, and drops his gun. He goes to grab for it and a gun appears in his face. Then Harry recites the "Dirty Harry Credo" (i.e., Ah Ha I know what you’re thinking….)

Action: Mayor on phone says: "I need Harry Callahan, now."

Action: Harry leaves the Little Tavern and walks by Thug #2 who is standing in an alley. Thug #2 grabs the woman who is walking by and mugs her. Harry beats him up. The Thug yells at Harry as he walks away and throws a can at him. Harry rubs his face in the dirt.

Action: Indio is in his office carrying on an arms sale with a gun dealer. He ends the session by purchasing an AK47. The gun dealer leaves. He looks at the gun and hears a knock on the door. He says to enter. Assassin #1 enters the office is congratulated and given a bag of gold. Assassin #2, Assassin #3, Assassin #4, and Assassin #5 enter the office one after the other and receive the same prize. Assassin #6 comes in and falls to her knees pleading to be spared. Indio thinks and remembers his being beat up. He tells her to rise, pats her on the back, and gives her a bag. She smiles and then looks in the bag, frowns, and turns the bag over revealing its contents: coal. Indo strangles her with a smile on his face.

Harry looks at the map puts it into his pocket. (Indio looking through his binoculars. He lowers them and thinks)

Action: Harry and Tuco arrive at the Baxter House. They get out of the car and walk in. harry sits down to relax and think about the case. Suddenly, he looks up. Extreme close-up of his face. Close-up of a knife lunging at him. Medium shot revealing Tuco as the attacker. They wrestle and fall on the ground behind a wall. Tuco arises from the fight and comes from behind the wall with her back to the camera. Suddenly, she turns around with a grimace of pain on her face. Close-up of her pain-struck face. She falls to the ground. Harry arises from behind the wall unharmed. He pulls a cigar out of his pocket, puts it in his mouth, and lights it. Harry says: ‘the chief was right, you don’t have enough experience.’ Shot of Indio looking through his binoculars from afar. He puts the binoculars down and scowls. Then he puts the binoculars up to his face again and sees Harry looking at him with his pair of binoculars. He lowers the binoculars and runs. Harry runs after him. Indio jumps into a car and zooms away. Harry does the same after him.

Action: Indio parks the car and runs into a cemetery. Harry pulls his car behind Indio’s car, checks his gun, and follows Indio into the cemetery. He runs into the cemetery among the graves. Suddenly, he is approached by two men, Thug #3 and Thug #4 carrying machine guns. They force him to drop his gun. They grab him and start to march him off. In a flash, Sue Baxter jumps from behind a monument and shoots the first thug. The other man takes his gun and pints it at Harry’s head. Sue casually sits behind the monument, strikes a match, lights a stick of dynamite, and then lights her cigar. She tosses the stick of dynamite over the top of the monument. It lands in front of the second thug holding Harry. The man runs releasing Harry. Sue jumps from behind the monument and shoots the thug in the back. Harry puts out the dynamite with his fingers. He walks over to pick up his gun. He bends over to grab the gun and his hand is stepped on. Close-up of Sue looking sternly. Close-up of Harry looking stern. She smiles and pulls her foot away. He stands up. Harry: "Why are you here". Sue: "to avenge the death of my husband, Mark Baxter." Harry: "Revenge, the oldest motivation of mankind.’ Sue: ‘I was the wife of Mark Baxter. He and his 5 bothers were each given a piece of a treasure map by their step-father, Bill Carson. As a young man, Carson, had robbed a bank of it’s gold. With some of the gold, he became a rich man. The rest of it was bujrried and left in his will to the six step-sons. The sons met at the will reading and were given their portion of the map. They were to meet the following week to piece together the map and discover the treasure. During that week, all six brothers were killed and their pieces of the map stolen." Harry pulls out the piece of the map Ralph Baxter gave him and shows it to her. Harry: ‘Joe Baxter gave me this before he was killed.’ She looks at the piece of map with interest. Indio: OK, drop your guns." Harry and Sue turn and begin to grab for their guns. The camera pulls back and they are surrounded by Indio, and two thugs. Indio: "Drop them." Medium shot of Harry and Sue dropping their guns. Indio: "Bring me the piece of the map." One of the thugs grabs it and brings it to Indio. He looks at it and smiles. Indio: "The girl will go with us on our treasure hunt as a bonus. Callanhan, you are tool much linguini for this operation. Beat him silly and dispose of him." The men try to bond the girl and fight Harry. She kicks the one guy in the balls and Harry also fights well. Then Indio hits him over the head. He falls to the ground. One of the thugs ties the girl up. The two thugs whip Harry and then Indio and one of the thugs drag him away as the other thug watches the girl.

Action: Indio and the thug carry Harry down to a set of railroad tracks and throw him on them. Indio and the thug leave. Harry slowly regains consciousness as he lies on the tracks. A train is coming. Harry tries to lift his head. The train comes closer. Harry tries to lift his head. The train is coming. Harry tries again. The train is coming. Harry seems as if he is going to make it then faints. The train zooms by. (Shot of boots waling by the tracks. A cigar is dropped and then stamped out.)

Action: Indio and the thug return. Indio looks at his watch and says ‘The 4 o’clock train…right on time…" He laughs. Indio looks at the map now pieced together on the hood of his car. Indio, the two thugs, and Sue get into the car and drive away.

Action: Suddenly, harry is walking by the railroad and looks at his watch and says, "A minute late." He walks back to the cemetery and picks up his gun. He jumps into his car and drives away. (Shot of the boots waling over to one of the dead men and closes the eye with his hand)

Action: Indio’s car drives under a bridge…the camera moves up and reveals harry standing on the top of the bridge with his gun in his hand.

Action: Harry runs over to the bike and tries to start it. It won’t start. He curses and looks frustrated. Suddenly, he looks over at something and points. Shot of a horse in a corral. Harry gets off the bike and runs over to the horse and jumps on. Shot of the horse with harry on it riding away down a road.
Characters: Indio, Thug #5, Thug #6, Sue Baxter
Action: Indio and his group drive into a ranch named ‘Lago". They get out of the car and walk over to a grave marker.

Action: Indio looks at the map and smiles. He points at the grave marker. Hue unties Sue and says: ‘You see, in this world there are tow kinds of people my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig." All three men point their guns at her. She digs and uncovers the treasure. Indio inspects the treasure. Indio ties Sue to a tree. Indio: "Ok boy, she is yours." The tow thugs walk closer to Sue. She tries to escape and spits at them as they approach her.
Characters: Harry, Indio, Thug #5, Thug #6, Sue Baxter
Action: harry arrives. The two thugs and Indio turn around. Harry; "Go ahead, make my day." He shoots the two thugs. Then he walks over to a stunned Indio and tells him to drop his gun. He drips it. Indio looks frightened. Sue smiles and then frowns. Harry is hit over the head by Thug #2. Thug #2: "If you are going to shoot, shoot, don’t talk.’ Indio laughs. Close-up of Thug #2 smiling face. Action: Indio: "Let’s hang him…high". The tow men pick him up and grab him over a tree. They put a noose around his neck and hang him. They walk away smiling and laughing.

Action: Suddenly, an explosion occurs. Close-up of the faces of Sue, Indio, and the thug. When the smoke clears…Joe is standing there in his poncho, cigar, and hat. Indio and Thug #2 grab for their guns and position themselves. Joe spits. The spit hits a dog on the head. A midget comes over the lights his cigar. Joe: "When the music stops…we begin." Close-up of the three faces, their guns, Sue, and Harry’s feet flashing from one to another. Harry shoots Indio and Thug #2. Then he shoots Harry down from the tree. Then he shoots the heads off of two scarecrows.

Action: A man in an ape costume walks over to a record player. Close-up of the record player with a record on it and pictures of Clint Eastwood and "Dollars" album cover. The ape-man smashes the player with his club.

Action: Indio still moving goes to grab for his gun. Joe stands on his hand. Joe: "I know what you’re thinking. Did he shot 5 shots or 6? Well in the confusion I forgot myself. But since this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and can blow your head clean off, you have to ask yourself, do you feel lucky? Well do you…punk? Indio faints.

Action: Joe walks over and unties Sue from the tree. Harry: "I owe you one, meathead." Joe: "Swell."

Action: Indio is moving agin. He grabs his gun and rises. Joe turns and shoots him. Joe: "I guess it was five." Joe pulls a wanted poster out of his pocket and places it next to Indio’s face. The face on the poster is that of Indio.

Action: Medium shot of Joe standing by Sue. A man with a rifle appears behind a building. Shot of Joe and Sue. The man shoots and Joe falls to the ground. Medium shot then close-up of Sue shooting the sniper. The man falls after being shot. Sue runs over to Joe lying on the ground and begins to beat his chest. Sue: "Don’t die, don’t die." Joe rises and stands up. Joe:" Bitch, bitch, bitch.’ Joe pulls a metal plate out from under his shirt. A picture of Clint Eastwood is on the back of the plate.

Action: Medium of Sue and harry tied up with nooses around their necks standing on grave markers. Joe throws the bodies of the dead men into the trunk of the car. He counts them on his fingers and stops to think. He looks confused. A man who was not thrown in the trunk of the car grabs his gun and rises on one knee. Joe sticks his gun casually under his arm and finishes the man off. He lights the burned down cigar that is in his mouth. Harry. ‘Having some trouble." Joe: "No not at all, just though I was having trouble with my adding. It’s fine now." He counts the bodies again and smiles after throwing the last body into the trunk of the car. He places the treasure under Harry and Sue’s feet. Joe looks at Sue and says: "I think you may need this." Joe jumps into the car and drives away. Medium of Harry and Sue looking frightened. As the car reaches the top of the hill, Joe gets out, aims, and fires two shots. Shot of Harry and Sue lying on the ground attempting to get out of their bonds.

Action: Sue jumps into same pool seen at the beginning of the film. She swims across the pool and gets out on the other side, dries herself, and walks over to Harry who is plying cards. She sits down next to him. The police chief walks out to where the two are sitting. He shakes Harry’s hand and greets Sue. The he sits down at the table. Mortimer: "Harry, let’s play a hand of poker." Harry deals out the cards. Harry: "What are we playing for?" Mortimer: "Life or Death." He suddenly rises, pulls a gun out of his jacket, and grabs Sue. Mortimer: "Ok, where’s the treasure." Harry; ‘So this explains your wonderful selection of Tuco as my partner." Mortimer: "Yea, I’m the one who Indio reported to. Drop you gun." Harry slowly lowers his gun and drops it. Mortimer: " That’s better. Callanhan I’m going to kill you right her unarmed. You killed my best assassins. But most important you killed Indio." Joe appears from behind the umbrella.
Characters:
Action: Joe: "No, I did." Joe shoots Mortimer and he falls into the pool. Joe: "A man has got to know his limitations." Joe walks over to the table. First he turns over Mortimer’s cards….they reveal a flush. Then he turns over Harry’s cards…they reveal a royal flush. He looks at the camera and winks.
