- Was on the cover of Harper's Bazaar at age 19
- She played opposite Humphrey Bogart in To Have and Have Not at age 20
- A year later, they were married
- In 1957, Bogart died of cancer
- Not long afterward, Bacall was engaged to Frank Sinatra but he called off the engagement after it was leaked to the press
- Married Jason Robards Jr. in 1961, divorced in 1973
- In the late sixties she turned to Broadway
- She won Tonys for two musicals, Applause and Woman of the Year
- She wrote two autobiographies, Lauren Bacall, By Myself and Lauren Bacall Now
- Since 1988, Bacall has averaged better than a film a year
