Rainbow Eagle is an Okla-Choctaw American Indian from Angel Fire, New Mexico. He is the author of the book, The Universal Peace Shield of Truths: Ancient American Indian Peace Shield Teachings. A wisdom keeper of Native American truths, Rainbow Eagle has been honored with the responsibility of a very ancient Native American Peace Shield. Now that the Seventh Fire of the Anishinabe/Ojibwa traditions has been lit, he is responsible for teaching the traditional wisdom of the Peace Shield.

At this time, all traditional wisdom and teachings are to be shared with the rest of the human family. The Peace Shield honors the spiritual truths of all people upon the Earth and seeks to integrate them with the original Native teachings embodied in the Peace Shield. In this way, all ancient wisdom increases the healing power and the spiritual potential of peace upon Mother Earth.

Rainbow Eagle has spent most of his life traveling and being in the presence of many traditional Native Grandmothers and Grandfathers. In the past 30 years he has visited over 35 reservations in the United States and Canada, sitting with tribal Elders and learning Native spirituality from various traditional philosophies and ceremonies. In the past 15 years, Rainbow Eagle has shared Native truths in both traditional and non-traditional ways with communities across North America. He took the Peace Shield teachings to Germany just two months before the Berlin Wall was brought down. He has led and participated in major Native ceremonies and is responsible for several sacred bundles.

Rainbow Eagle comes from a family of teachers. His mother was an elementary school teacher and his father (one of the first "full blood" Choctaw Indians to graduate from college) was a music teacher in public schools and in Indian boarding schools. Rainbow Eagle holds a masters degree in education and is also a licensed mental health therapist.

Whether as a college professor, guest lecturer, storyteller, or teacher around a community campfire, Rainbow Eagle has increased the awareness of people of all ages and brought a new sensitivity toward Native American spirituality. His teachings are filled with hope and optimism. He walks with the humble authority entrusted to him by the Ancient Ones of many Native traditions and by the "Seven Fire Prophesy" in order to share the ancient wisdom for one last time.
