The front room is a place to entertain guests, is usually very tidy and has a nice view. Anyway, this is the page that photographs will go on. And possibly one or two other picture-related bits...

Karen (Llama's owner from next door) had the opportunity to go and watch.
We rendezvous'd in town outside the Hall for Cornwall theatre. The theme
this year was "Light Fantastic", which sounds vaguely familiar to me. The
themes are nearly always winter/light/legend/Cornwall based. Not
that anybody really cares, of course. ^-^ It's the wonderful waxed paper
and bamboo sculptures - the lanterns - that were important. Karen put up
with me clambering all over the piazza seats to try and get some good shots.
Among the sculptures were a tutu-wearing hippo based on Disney's Fantasia,
an ice skater, a lion (Aslan from Narnia, perhaps?), and a 1950's Flash
Gordon rocket! I learnt - a little late in the game! - that the best way
to take shots of the lanterns was with my flash turned to OFF!

This month's gallery is not from my camera at all - although it should be, I must apologise for being very lazy of late - it's from Slickpuppy's camera! By the way, Slick uses the same model of camera that I do around town in Truro. Slick is based in a nice town called Frederick in Maryland USA. One of the features of that town is their Community Bridge. It started out as a concrete bridge - nothing exceptional, far from dilapidated, but boring. And then an artist, one William M Cochran, thought maybe he could help. He asked residents a few questions, and... well. See for yourself! ^-^
