Sy was born in the New Mexico desert where she began to play the piano at age two.

The grand daughter of a great German violin maker and
daughter of a concert pianist,
her life was destined for the stage where she now finds solace,
challenge and intensity.

Sy's love of the arts has created a magical and
inescapable world of beauty from her silver sculptures (including the family coin seen on this page) and intricate ink drawings, to cello and piano music which she plays with natural fervor.

Her music profession came into being early on as she began to play for weddings and a lively Pentecostal church at twelve years old. This progressed into various studio works and an Eastern tour to include Russia and Soviet Georgia, then
finally full time in 1991 when she started a three-year tenure as the pianist at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

With the corporate restructure of many businesses in the
mid 90's, also came the end of many entertainment offerings in the Southwest, including her cozy corner of the industry.
Taking this as an invitation to adventure, she spent some time in South America where, by good fortune, she met a brilliant young man who, in the course of time, gave her the last name of Santos.

Fate found Sy in the home of Masque one cold winter night in
January of 1998. She had been asked to come do some studio
session work for an up and coming artist. Reluctantly leaving her warm house, she set out vowing she'd "be right back".
Upon hearing Masque's creations, however, "right back" evolved into the early hours of a new dawn.

Come listen to Masque and Sy, and experience the beauty that drives them both to relentless entertainment.
You're worth their treat!
