STORY: Fourteen year old Gloria attends a private school in Switzerland. Her widowed mother, actress Gwen Taylor sent her there on the advise of her press agent Dusty Turner, to hide from publicity that she has a teenage daughter. Although proud of her mother she doesn’t talk about her, preferring to talk about the fabulous adventures of her pretend father from letters she writes to herself. Another girl at the school, Felice, is determined to prove that Gloria is lying. After Gloria meets a boy from town, she lies and says she has to meet her father in town. The word gets out and she has to supply a man that she can claim is her father. Spotting handsome Richard Todd, she tells him a phony story and leaves with him, hoping the girls will believe that he knows her. It gets complicated when a couple of teachers invite him to have lunch at the school. Gloria is forced to tell him the truth and he agrees to play along. Richard is called to Paris on business and Gloria tags along, after reading in the newspaper that her mother is in Paris, hoping to see her. Dusty prevents the meeting. Richard finds out the story and takes Gloria to confront her mother. Gwen finds out what Dusty did and tells the reporters all about Gloria, just as she and Richard arrive. The reporters believe Richard is the husband, and Gloria gets the family that she wanted.
Note:
Ann plays one of the girls at the school, but I’m not sure which girl in the picture is her. Could she be the second girl on the left in the picture above?
